Members Website: Members are entitled to visit our members website. There members have access to conference handouts and photos, member's blog, school psych links, member's forum, member's job listings, member's directory, member's newsletters, discounted workshops and more.

We are expanding member resources to include materials deemed useful by our members with expertise in a variety of areas. Initial Topics include Autism, CBT Resources and Suicide Prevention. Need research? You may want to complete a Grant Application.

Our association works hard to represent all school psychologists in New York. All of the NYASP board members are volunteers. If you have any questions about the association, please talk to us. We want to know what you need to succeed. Also you can save money. If you attend the Annual Conference as a member, you conference registration fee is significantly reduced. Actually, the discount is equal to the cost of your membership.

Legislative Advocacy: Whether it’s a state or local issue, NYASP is working hard to protect your interests and preserve the practice of school psychology. The NYASP Legislative Committee regularly meets with legislators to discuss issues that impact your ability to practice.

The New York School Psychologist: Our printed newsletter keeps members informed of NYASP programs, events and services, and abreast of issues that are pertinent to the practice and profession. Members also have online access.

Continuing Professional Development: As a member of NYASP, members have discounted access to regular CPD programs presented at our annual conference, as well as other scientific and educational programs sponsored by NYASP. Most programs are eligible for NASP approved continuing education credits applicable to NCSP.

Chapter Meetings: The association conducts chapter meetings throughout the year that provide valuable information and an opportunity to network with other school psychologists in your local county. Meetings are free to members.

Research Grants: NYASP awards annual research grants to practitioners, who are members. Grant awards vary in size based on the scope of the proposal and are awarded on an annual basis.

Committees: Through participation in one of our various committees, members can directly impact policy affecting their practices and the education environment. Committees include: legislation, rural and urban issues, public relations, graduate students, children’s issues, culturally responsive, ethics, and CPD.
